My Assignments for the Semester

This course is very different from anything I have ever done during my time in college. Something I have really enjoyed so far are the stories that were based off of Harry Potter and Gossip Girl. Reading these made me more excited to learn about the Indian culture and how we see it in everyday life. I am also interested in seeing how the storytelling will go throughout this semester.

These type of assignments are very different from anything that I have done because my coursework has revolved around concrete facts and reading about history and laws. I am looking forward to this because I will be able to take what we are learning and interpret it and talk about it in my own way and talk about it freely.

I also look forward to learning new learning styles that are different than the ones that I have been using.

    Haha, i totally picked this blog post because of the cute pupper picture. I want a dog so bad i cant stand it to help with homework and what not but my apartment doesn't allow dogs so that's that. Anyways i took the myth and folklore section last year so this year i was kind of ready for what types of assignments would come our way. Last year though i though many of the same things you are in this post. It is nice to try new learning styles in other classes as well to see if they can help out in those ways too.

Story, Week 11

Looking Back As Julia sat on the big comfy chair by the foggy window in the coffee shop she took in everything. It was a normal New York afternoon, cloudy skies, a brisk breeze, and the sky looked as if it was about open up heavy rains on the city. In this moment, Julia could not be more content. She was looking out on her favorite city while sipping the best latte. She thought to herself, “ my life is perfect, I cannot believe I almost missed out on this ” .   Julia thought back to a year ago when she refused to move to New York City because she was afraid and did not think she would be successful. She remembered arguing with her parents and telling them that they had no business in where she lived and that they should stop pressuring her to move.
