Week 6 Story

Author's Note: The story that I have retold was called Kunti and Her Son  from a Public Domain site. The story that I have written was based off of this. I used some hints of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to retell the story as well.  Harry Potter: Retold During the reign of the “ He Who Must Not Be Named ” (Voldemort), no one ever felt safe. Mothers feared for their children’s ’ lives along with their own. There was death everywhere. Voldemort and his followers killed families regularly and spared no one. Reading Notes for Kunti and Her Son -This story reminds me a lot of the story from the bible when Moses' mother fears for her son's life and puts him in a basket down the river and he is found by Pharaoh's daughter and she adopts him and brings in an Israelite woman (who happens to be the baby's true mother) to nurse and care for him. -This story has a lot of emotion and sacrifice -I would like to rewrite this story into more modern times to help me better understand the story.                                               Pharaoh's Daughter When She Found Baby Moses

Week 5 Storytelling: Rama Crowned King

Author's Note: This story was originally written about Rama and how after long years of disparity, he finally ascended to his father's throne and made the people very happy. I got this story from PDE Ramayana.  To Keep a Fun Land There once was a country that was flourishing with love, businesses, friendship, and it had everything anyone could ever imagine. It was a happy place, with happy people, and a happy ruler. This ruler did everything for his people and loved to seem them happy. He was always hosting parties and festivals so that everyone could be together and celebrate their happiness and their love for one another. This had gone on for generations and it was all anyone knew. They were used to all getting along with one another and always being there to help one another. The newest king was the last male in the family and therefore there was no other heir to replace him when and if he died. The young king did not see this as a huge issue becaus
